Topic selection

 

Problem research thesis should focus on practical issues of theoretical value or practical significance in the field of public administration, utilize public administration-related theories and approaches to identify and analyze the causes, proposes solutions with a feasibility study, and provides reform, decision-making and development of public administration withrelated experience, theories and approaches as supports.

 

Composition

 

Main body should consist of five parts: introduction, theoretical basis, analysis of problems and causes, solutions or countermeasures, and conclusions and suggestions.

 

1. Introduction: includes the basis for the choice of a topic (research background and significance); literature review (comment on related researches and practices; research content and topic; research methods and technical roadmap, etc.

 

2. Theoretical basis: expounds on the theoretical basis of the choice of this topicor constructs and verifies related theories andanalytical framework.

 

3. Analysis of problems and causes: describes the environment of the problems, point out the problems and their causes. The analysis of the problem and the causes should be well-founded, logical and pertinent with reliable sources of data.

 

4. Propose new approaches to solve problems, compare and analyzedomestic and foreign solutions for theproblems and the causes, and put forward feasible solutions.

 

5. Conclusions and suggestions: sums up research conclusions, and proposes pertinent solutions or suggestions for similar problems.

 

Other requirements

 

1.For problem research thesis, text format such as font and word size should be subject to the standards for professional master’s thesisof each school.

 

2. In principle, the main body of a problem research thesis should be not less than 20,000 words.
